KEAAMI / THAI RESTAURANT
KEAAMI restaurant is firstly inspired by the cuisine of Thai female chef Purida ‘Pu’ Theeraphong, which is a kaleidoscope of colors and flavors where every single taste and spice is still recognizable. Likewise, in the design, simplicity and straightness are standing out an explosion of multiple textures, materials and elements creating a super colorful, playful and young vibe for the space. Walls are made of rotating triangular columns covered with felt fabric and traditional bamboo and rattan straw mats, which can be activated by customers to alternately show the three evocative colors of blue, green and wood. Original pillows from Thailand, randomly placed on light grey steel structures, create a comfortable seating setting made of large chairs and benches. Name KEAAMI means “wooden island” in Thai and the cozy and informal fresh beach atmosphere is further emphasized by light blue and sandy colors of terrazzo stones on floor.
